How it all started: photography before videos

My 1st big travelling, 4 months to the USA during my studies, made me realize that I wanted to register this experiences on film. My next big trip, 1 year travelling to Australia see me borrow an old camera from my parents to register my experiences on film.

 Once I was working in Japan for 2 years, the electronic mecca of the early 2000's, I had to get myself a good digital camera. This digital camera got rid of the expensive processing of film, reduced the risk of loosing a film during the processing process & just increased the number of pictures you took, increasing your memories.

 Soon after I added a proper Nikon camera, including a 300mm lens to the collection, to still be able to make good pictures while being at motorsport events. I have been making 100.000's of pictures of the years, some of the better ones I showed on my personal website years ago. Now with the switch to a Gopro, I am using my Nikon mainly during motorsport events and am more & more taking only my Gopro on trips & events, mainly due to it's size.
